Yesterday his column accused everybody who voted for Trump of putting our democracy at tremendous risk. White should know that everybody who voted for Trump didn't attend the rally in Washington or think that the election was stolen. White should know that everybody who did attend the rally did not storm the Capital Building.
I'm offended by White's column, and I didn't even vote for Trump.
I was wrong, Bill, stick with judging chocolate cake recipes.
White failed to mention the alternative was Hillary Clinton
ReplyDeleteYes, all those who voted for Trump must be impugned and silenced. This thinking is now common currency on the left,in the media and among rank and file Democrats. We have seen the controlling party in Allentown and the Morning Call use this impugn and destroy tactic effectively for years to silence critics. In recent years this same tactic has been employed nationwide. It is the tactic of totalitarianism and those who engage it and/or excuse it, are acting in a very undemocratic fashion. Clearly all of the above are unconcerned by what they have become. The latter fact should frighten all of us.
ReplyDeleteYes, they believe they are doing god's work, or I should say they think they are the good guys. It is easier to attach derogatory labels to an opposing view that debate the opposing view. One reason they do this is because they have been losing this debate and are now in a desperation mode to silence the opposing view. The more intense their desperation the more they are losing in the long run. As for white, his bias has contributed to the demise of the morning call, but rather than reexamine, he will be going down with the ship.
ReplyDeleteOn another matter we see 20,000 troops in Dc, would it not have been better to take the top 5 concerns about the election and have a fair and open bipartisan hearing of these issues. If everything is good it would have gone a long way to unifying the country. Instead, just talking about voting irregularities is now calling for suppression. Why?

ReplyDeleteOver 50 different state & Federal Courts looked at "the top concerns" as well as Republican Secretaries of State supervising elections in the swing states and all came to the same conclusion...there was NOTHING THERE. There are some things that don't merit "hearings" despite the Flat Earth Society, or Intelligent Design advocates, or Dominion Machines counts votes overseas promoters, or the Moon is made of Green Cheese Society members urging "teach the controversy." Nonsense doesn't merit "Hearings." Grow up, stop listening to Fox News opinion bullshiters, and get real.
