The Kavanaugh/Ford Hearing

Christine Ford certainly delivered yesterday in emotionality. However, as Brett Kavanaugh sharply noted, there is nothing to corroborate  her recollection. Those who supported or opposed the nomination still hold the same opinion.... That is the usual outcome of any 36 year old allegation.

While using the word performance seems insensitive, what we had yesterday was pure theater, packaged as testimony and fact finding.

  1. She sure didn't sound like a well educated, successful college professor yesterday. In fact she sounded just the opposite so her testimony didn't ring true to me. It's no small thing to be a college/university professor, on top of having a good mind, one must go through years of intense studies, know how to speak, be on top of their facts, deliver a lecture, and lead a class. None of that came through yesterday and her description of her actions related to the disclosure seemed not to reflect the actions of a woman of her caliber.
Yes, perhaps she was traumatized at sometime in her life. None of us will know for sure. But put on a scale of truthfulness with Judge Kavaanaugh it's hands down for the judge. The evidence he presented, total lack of evidence from her, her witnesses deny any knowledge, she was handled by partisan Democrats who have said they would stop at nothing to block the judge, his stellar reputation, highest ABA recommendation for character, his sterling reputation, years of thorough background checks, and massive character witnesses make this an easy call for me. That said, remember, the left has now labeled me by age and race as an "old white man". Apparently that's three strikes to them. Now tell me who is the real problem in this country.

  2. Unfortunately, some of the Democrats have become Leftists. It's is good to have rigorous debate and 'due diligence" - to make the best possible decision.

When Feinstein got the letter in July, if she was ethical, could have brought this up with the committee in private. The allegation could have been investigated out of public view - and then neither Ford nor Kavanaugh would have been subjected to the circus.

However the Left has weaponized the process. Made it a game. Let's torpedo the candidate at the last possible moment. If we allow this - they will continue to make use of this weapon.

Kavanaugh and Ford are victims of the Left's scorched earth policy / win by any means.

The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen congressmen. People who came to Washington to get important work done, and go back home. Instead, the congress has morphed into a Klown Show.

  3. Ford acknowledged her PTSD-like symptoms. Sadly, those who suffer from that malady often have memories that are flawed. The so-called sex-crimes expert who was questioning her didn't go there. So much for the 'benefit' of having a female questioner. I think the judge would have lost the day if not for the takeover of the questioning by the Rep. senators.

  4. Seemed like a dopey bitch who never progressed past third grade, to be quite frank. Can't seem to remember this seemingly manufactured, clearly unsubstantiated allegation from 36 years ago. Can't seen to remember that from less than three months ago. How the hell did she ever pass high school exams, let alone become a college professor? ... I think the radical activist Democrat Party operative chick who cried in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee is simply not being truthful when it comes to her alleged fear of getting on airplanes. But, hey, whatever. I'm just one of those deplorable dregs of society those most righteous, all-caring Democrat Party fools yack on about all day long.
