On Friday, I elaborated in both the post and comments, that I feel that the fatal ICE shooting in Minneapolis was a wrongful death. Many readers feel differently, and expressed their views in the comments. This post is not to rehash those videos and conclusions, but rather examine the aftermath.
While initial reactions to the shooting mirrored left/right, Democratic/Republican perspectives, the vigils occurring around the country are another dimension. I believe that this death is another George Floyd type moment, which likewise will have wide sweeping political ramifications.
While Trump and Vance are immune to the repercussions, Kristi Noem may pay the price for her zealousness. Republicans* up for mid-terms will have to buck the front office. Trump is powerful, but shooting protesters in the head has no longer been permitted since Kent State.
Kent State 1970
*Ryan Mackenzie stated at a press conference yesterday that he considers the shooting justified.

I am unclear about the political consequences.
ReplyDeleteICE simply wants to remove criminal illegal ailens. The Democrats don't want this and have organized "resistors" to stop ICE from doing their job.
Do you want to keep murders, rapists, child molesters, drug dealers walking the streets because you want illegal ailens to vote Democratic?
Biden let the scum of the earth into the United States. Trump want to arrest them for the crimes they have comitted since they illegally entered the United States.
Where is the "George Floyd" moment in all this? The "resistor" who was interfering in the ICE agent doing his job got killed because she almost ran over the agent with her vehicle. That is far and beyond protesting.
This good women was a paid protestor and her they them should catch a charge of inciting violence.
ReplyDeletePaid protestors of the lefts shit sandwich designed to deflect.
DeleteThis shooting was a sad episode, It does appear that the lady was more intent on escaping than running over the officer. The problem began when she intentionally sought to block the road and refused to cooperate by moving the vehicle, when she was then about to be arrested, she tried to depart. The situation was now intense and reactions and adrenaline often end in tragedy.
ReplyDeleteOf course it will now be used as political weapon by both sides, just aggravating and likely to cause more injuries and possible deaths.
Far-Left democrats would like this to be another “George Floyd-type moment”. They have spent large sums of money for money to train useful idiots like Ms. Goode to “resist” ICE. What they’re actually doing is training these wine moms to break the law and obstruct law enforcement operations, with the hope of provoking an incident like the one that occurred last week.
ReplyDeleteWhile a death might be what billionaire Leftist donors hope for, too much of the general public sees this for the desperate Democrat ploy that it is. The multiple videos of the incident have not been helpful towards supporting Ms Goode’s ascension to sainthood, and only the most zealous anti-Trumpers (and their low information dupes) continue to cling to the phony Democrat narrative.
The protests against the ICE shooting in Minnesota is simple political theater to cover up and deflect attention from the massive fraud that has been going on there.
ReplyDeleteLast week, it was discovered that $700 million in cash went out of the country through the Minneapolis airport via Somali couriers over a two year period. That’s about $1 million pet DAY!
This is part of what the governor of Minnesota and the mayor of Minneapolis are trying to hide. They were either involved or certainly looked the other way and will likely end up in prison by the time the investigations conclude. They see stoking civil unrest as being the only path that can prevent that from happening.
This is the point I’ve been trying to make on the blog, but it never gets anyone’s attention. I think too many readers have suffered the consequences of censorship (not necessarily here) but where else they go for national news. Hopefully, those places don’t include the Morning Call!
DeleteMy point is, MASSIVE fraud and abuse has been going on all across America. The Somali thing has also now been uncovered in Ohio and California, too. Those stolen funds don’t all go back to Somalia. A good portion stays here, being laundered back to our politicians!
There is a REASON people with both Democrat and Republican connections want very much to tie-up Trump’s hands and remove him as quickly as possible. He and his team present a threat to uncover all the dirty behavior.
It’s time for all Americans to wake the hell up before shooting off their mouths so quickly.
Kent State is a good example of even tho something might be technically legal, is it right? Some people might not know that in that incident an ROTC student who was not even involved in the protests was also shot dead by the National guardsmen. Over reaction by frazled men does seem to be a common factor. Having a leader who encourages confrontation with the public and mainly in states that did not support him can only cause more chaos.
ReplyDeleteAs for those who constantly blame some imaginary cabal who support and train Antifa members (I am also anti-facist and have yet to be contacted by this org.) they must be suffering from TDS (Trump Delusional Symdrome). No vids, no proof what so ever, but they just know...
Trump can’t afford to brush this one off. He, Vance and Noem have bold faced lied to the American public on this. They tell you not to believe what you see. Trump said that the vehicle hit the ICE agent. It did not. We now live in a country where a middle aged American mom can get two bullets in the head for protesting. What can you expect from a man who has some flunky make an AI video of him dumping sh*t on his citizens?
ReplyDeleteThere is no more dangerous place than to be between a TV and a USA attorney. They are the most ruthless and politically ambitious creatures in our judicial/political system. And yet, they are resigning in droves across the country because they can’t stomach the pressure being brought on them by the Trump DOJ to evade the law and unfairly prosecute protesters, gays/trans/brown immigrants, politicians of the opposite party, etc., etc.
ReplyDeleteIt’s much simpler than that. Trump is just a man who can’t stand waste, fraud, and abuse against American citizens.
Deletemultiple comments about the demonstrators in Minneapolis being paid will not appear, neither will comments about the vehicle hitting the shooter, etc.
