Yesterday I went to the Social Security Office, across from the prison, to discuss my retirement options. I was given number 199. In addition to retirement, Social Security also dispenses money for disability. I would say from the gray hair, there were about three of us contemplating retirement, all the others were for disability. A few middle age men were carrying their fake canes. The canes aren't fake, it's the disabilities. I saw one such gentleman walk in from the parking lot, clearly the cane bore no weight, and was merely a prop. Most of the people waiting were quite young, in their twenties. Disability has now been expanded to include mental conditions such as depression, anxiety, additive personality and anger management. I will say many of them did look angry to me. It was hard finding a parking space. Business also looked good at the prison. If Johnny Manana's had gotten these crowds....

If the current government remains in power, you can likely add Gender dysphoria to the list of disabilities which disability payments will be paid
ReplyDeleteThe goal is total government dependency for a majority of the voters so if they want to continue living, they will willingly vote for the one party providing their sustenance. On the federal level we're getting close to that type of one-party dictatorship, you know, it would be like the smooth-running government in Allentown.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke our local Social Security office is!!! My Father passed, yet his SS payments kept on coming... it took me almost 2 years to finally get them stopped!!! I sent them a check to reimburse so I was certain to have proof of repayment. I can't help but wonder how many other checks are continuing after death!!!???... Every time, the SS official exclaimed "I'll stop this!!!", but yet it continued.
ReplyDeleteOn the other shoe, I also noticed a lack of SS aged people in the lobby... the unmotivated or actually disabled. Disabilities ARE hard to determine by appearance.
As far as disability goes, I have a personal friend that lost a leg to diabetes due to doctor errors, and they keep denying him disability... BUT, walk illegally across our border and receive food stamps, a phone, housing and A MONTHLY CHECK... what is wrong with this picture??? Some states even offer drivers licenses and voter registration. Things are truly rotten in Denmark!!!
I agree completely that A-town has got to put a stop to the disability mill it seems to support for perfectly healthy individuals, but please, an easy fact check on google will verify that no illegals are getting any benefits from Soc. Security (or a phone, food stamps, housing, or a monthly check).
DeleteSocial Security and Disability is a federal program. Allentown years ago should have discouraged local social agencies from attracting so many people who make such programs a lifestyle.
Delete8:15... Google is neither reliable or factual... only when it wants to be. Sorry to say the illegals profit in more ways than one. Take NYC footing the bill for 5 star hotels to house and feed the illegals there... AND they destroy the place rather than respect what they are freely given. They feel the food is lousy, too... well, go get a job and buy your own food. Sign me, FED UP!!!
DeleteIn 2017 after having been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and having been in the workforce for 43 yrs. I went to the Social Security office to apply for disability. I was shocked to see all the young people in the waiting room. I can't imagine what they were all doing there meanwhile we who worked all our lives and paid in all these years have to worry how long Social Security will survive.
