Alright, so I stand both fully corrected and thoroughly ashamed. This guy Juan Thompson definitely appears to be a card-carrying Alt Right, Jew-hating neo-Nazi if there ever was one. I would like to retract my earlier statements made in response to Molovinsky's "Antisemitism In The Trump Era" article as well as formally acknowledge that it was obviously Donald J. Trump's reprehensible campaign rhetoric that has obviously enabled and encouraged despicable bigots like Mr. Thompson here. Because Mr. Trump did absolutely nothing to curb bigots like Mr. Thompson here in the short time since he became President of the United States (thanks to the Russians stealing the election, of course), he must now resign from office immediately and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of Hate Crimes laws. Before seeking out the biggest rock I can crawl under and hide in disgrace, I would like to most sincerely apologize to any and all people who were offended by my extremely ignorant and maliciously mean-spirited remarks the other day.ROLF OELER
Mike, The truth is the sheer hatred coming from the Democratic Party, and the media does incite violence by those elements of the left unhinged enough to see it as a reasonable and just recourse to the current political situation. The stalking ex-boyfriend clearly used the phony media narrative that Trump is an anti-Semite to seek vengeance of a woman who was clearly wise enough to want no part of him. This enabled "violence is justified mindset" played out yesterday at Pro-Trump rallies where leftists counter protested in such a fashion as to lead to fights and arrests. Vilifying one's political opponents is now business as usual for the Democratic Party and the media is doing its best to keep their audiences lathered up and angry with one sided reporting, innuendo, slanders, and allegations reported as news. It is despicable.
The fact that there is a lot of political, and nonpolitical and antisemitism in the US is not news. The attempt to justify the Alt right's mainstreaming of hatred of "non-Americans, " including Jews, by pointing out exceptions, does not change the Alt right equation.
It is the left that routinely points out distinctions such as,race, gender, gender preference, ethnicity, religion...this serves to divide Americans, each being told they are different from the other and need to "celebrate those differences and need the Democratic Party to protect them from the majority. To achieve this protector status they spin the narrative that the "majority" is out to exploit and/or marginalize each particular minority. The media routinely facilitates this with fake news and the use of labels such as Alt right, extremists, xenophobes...
