LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL MUSINGS

Plunderer-In-Chief Trump

The consequences of the 2024 election are coming home and abroad to roost much harder and faster than Trump's critics could have imagined.

Trump is warning the Republicans that if they don't win the mid-terms, he will be impeached. He doesn't realize that unless they speak out against his recklessness, they won't be re-elected. His threat against Greenland is an invasion too far. Even though Rubio tried to soften the language, NATO is beginning to realize that they are threatened from both the east and west.

Trump's support was based on MAGA and partisan sycophants. MAGA is beginning to realize that Trump cares more about golf courses than grocery prices. Even that January 6th revisionist demonstration didn't play well. The partisan sycophants read the poll numbers. As much as they liked a winner, they like winning more than any person.

We would all be better off if Trump played more golf.

  1. It is clear, the presidency no longer matters, the unelected rulers want war and demand submission, The future is clear, elections no longer are relevant to our future. There is no one who can change the direction of this country.

  2. Dear Mike,
Please connect me with your supplier. I would appreciate a double dose of whatever you are taking. I haven't had hallucinations like yours since my hippie days.

  3. Meanwhile back in reality Democrats stir civil unrest, their specialty, in Minnesota to help cover up the largest fraud scheme in American history.

anon@8:43: You can spin that tragic shooting that way, but I believe the public sees it for what it was...overreacting ICE officers sent by an increasingly out of control administration.

    2. When half of U.S. voters are sympathetic to racists, neofascists, misogynists and the MAGA cult, bad things happen.
Who can doubt that we are living through a time reminiscent of 1930s Germany?
Thank you for having the courage to speak up, Molovinsky on Allentown.

  6. Yeah, hate to bring reality into the ICE conversation, but the woman in Minnesota was killed as a direct result of democrat policy and rhetoric.

First, there is no way that ANYONE should be interfering with ANY police action. Like it or not, ICE is enforcing federal immigration LAW that has been in place for decades. The fact that democrat politicians have tried to normalize interference with ICE operations does not make it right or acceptable. When I see “protestors” in close proximity and actively engaging law enforcement officers doing their job, that is a recipe for disaster.

Next, the democrat policy in Minneapolis and Minnesota is making ENFORCING THE LAW dangerous for both federal law enforcement officers AND the protestors. Competent leadership at the state and local levels would have local law enforcement assisting ICE operations, and they could be used to establish a perimeter around those operations and to keep protestors and others outside of it. The failure of those same democrat politicians to protect federal law enforcement officers is precisely why the President should federalize the National Guard and use them to protect the officers.

Finally, the rhetoric of democrat politicians and their minions – including some on this blog – needs to stop. ICE is doing the job they are supposed to do. They are not Nazis and are not anyone's enemy, unless you are breaking the law. Calling them Nazis only inflames the violent thugs and low-information dupes that (unfortunately) fall for the phony narratives of the democrat party.

I do feel sorry for the woman who was killed, but she made numerous choices that led to that outcome. It is not the fault of the ICE agent who defended himself. He was well within his rights of self-defense and had actually been dragged over 50 yards in a previous incident involving another vehicle. To any who thinks he over-reacted, you are ignoring the facts as well as reality.

It’s time for adults to step up and take charge. Our major cities are in decline because we have let stupid ideas (Defund the Police, Borders are Immoral, ICE are Nazis, etc.) pass unchallenged. We need to stop confusing feelings with facts and intentions with outcomes. We must enforce laws consistently.

I believe that can be done by COMPETENT politicians from either party, but the current version of the democrat party needs to change their present direction. It’s not about democrats versus republicans but instead about adults versus children. Reality versus fantasy.

This country doesn’t need to be reinvented, it needs to be reclaimed from those whose true desire is to destroy it.

  7. anon@5:51: Perhaps the ICE officer's defense attorney can mention that previous incident when he was dragged. I don't believe that it justifies the shooting, but maybe Trump can babble it when he grants a pardon.
I suspect you had no problem when the Jan. 6th (2021) protesters were "invited" into congress.

    1. And the ICE agent won’t need a defense attorney. He acted within his rights and should not be charged.

  8. I had a problems with the ones that broke down the doors to get in. But others came much later, walked through an open door, and were in fact ushered through the Capitol as if they were on a tour. There is plenty of video on that.
