Trump closed the border on day one, but from day two forward his administration has been a disaster. An increasingly disturbed narcissist, surrounded by sycophants, responding to one problem after another that they have created. Now we'll subsidize the farmers, after devastating them with arbitrary tariffs with China.
He tries to tell the little people that affordability is a Democratic myth. While the low information MAGA and hardcore Republican acolytes cling to his dissolving allusions, the country is waking up, very quickly.
Here locally in the valley, Ryan Mackenzie is talking out of three sides of his mouth. Now that Trump did a 180 on health care, you would think that Ryan stood with the Democrats to keep the Affordable Care Act subsidies. Unless he really stands up, he'll be eaten alive during the midterms.
Every world leader understands that Trump is a deteriorating ego maniac, who must be flattered like a delusional old actress in a Hollywood rest home. They bring him crowns and ribbons, that he embarrassingly puts on, like they're really deserved.
I'm not here to be polite or popular

Jeez I miss old Scranton Joe. Now there was a leader of men.
ReplyDeleteanon@4:36: I'm beginning to miss him also...he sounded like Churchill compared to Trump. I also miss appointees with knowledge of their department.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your TDS has progressed to the point where you can no longer recognize the obvious sarcasm of 4:36am.
Delete“Scranton” Joe doesn’t even know the name of the country he led.
If you look at the major sectors that continue to negatively impact “affordability” they’re almost all democrat-created problems:
ReplyDeleteHealth care: Obamacare didn’t bring down anyone’s premiums and we’re all paying for it. The only ones who made out under that plan are the insurance companies.
Housing: Unrestrained immigration drove the costs of housing through the roof. That problem has gotten better in some areas, but democrat politicians continue to fight the removal of illegals in their cities and states.
Energy: Trump has reduced the cost of gasoline by reversing democrat drilling policies, but he can’t quickly rebuild the many power plants closed under Biden and the democrats. This is simple supply and demand, and the democrats decreased electric supply at a time when we should have been ramping it up, and once again we’re all paying for their failed policies.
Trump has been in office for almost 11 months and is moving things in the right direction. Going back to the democrats and their failed policies would be affordability suicide.
And that’s not even touching on the fact that “affordability” is far worse in democrat-run states than it is in republican-controlled states. Elections do matter, but you’re blaming the wrong person, and the wrong party.
the fact of the matter is that our healthcare system is irreparably broken and partially by the entitlement of our citizenry. what percentage of our massive healthcare costs are due to completely preventable diseases if only people would take responsibility for their own health? i generally consider him a nutjob but on the diet and exercise push i’m totally behind bobby kennedy.
ReplyDeleteanon@8:07: your comment is a rehash of Trump's excuses last night. his tariffs have caused chaos in the economy, with no producer or merchant knowing the replacement/restocking cost.
ReplyDeleteanon@8:14: yes, I recognized the gentleman's repetitive satire, which I often no longer print, but decided to use it for my purpose.
anon@9:57: lifestyle is important, but I'd prefer a science background to head that department.
As far as some claiming that the "affordability" crisis is mostly a Dem problem:
ReplyDelete"According to data from sources like Wisevoter and analyses of U.S. Census data, states with the highest poverty rates are predominantly Republican-led.
Nine out of the ten poorest states in the U.S. are considered Republican-led or "red states".
Mississippi has the highest poverty rate in the nation. Other states frequently listed in the top ten include Louisiana, New Mexico, West Virginia, and Arkansas."
