The American Dictatorship

With 60 Minutes killing its exposé on Venezuelans in the El Salvador prison, we have effectively entered an era of censorship. Between Trump privately filing lawsuits, and government approval needed for mergers, the price of speaking up is currently very expensive for corporate America.

A small time pizza blogger like myself can still speak the truth, but for how long? We have turned the Navy into pirates, and are going to build new Trump Class battleships. Trump campaigned against forever wars, but now we throw threats around the Western Hemisphere.

I do sense an awaking. I believe that the incumbent Republicans facing midterms are beginning to appreciate how out of control Trump has become. MAGA itself is starting to splinter on several issues. Between his ego and truth bending, each speech strains his credibility more and more.

  1. I believe it is high time an administration throws some roadblocks (or blockades,if you will) into advances by communist China and communist Russia on sovereign South American nations. If you disagree, you are likely suffering from advanced TDS and a hatred of freedom and America. Prove me wrong.

    1. The just released 3rd Quarter economic data was much better than expected. Inflation down, tariffs working, deficits being lowered, business development soaring, etc.

Our very own "Dictator" has entered a benevolent performance mode in fixing our broken nation. Three more years looks like a positive to me.

    2. "They" released??? Fox news who paid nearly a billion US dollars for fake news? Or, the US govt who cannot be trusted with any economic data/figures!

  2. anon@6:56&again@8:10: Don't know who you're trying to convince?!? He wants their oil, he could less about their sovereignty, or ours! The tariffs had hurt, his easing on them helped. As you probably know, that better data has only helped the upper end with their stock portfolios. The incumbents, including local Mackenzie, will be distancing themselves more and more from Trumpism.

    1. 8:10 here. I'm trying to convince blog readers wherever and whenever I can. No matter how few that might be.

  4. Western Governments are increasingly rejecting freedom of speech, the EU is now imprisoning people for views contrary to their narrative. It the US. it seems all you have to do is put big money buyers in charge of big media, but we still have lots of other options and the big media is being reveled as corrupt.

I doubt that new Battleships will ever become reality. It may take the destruction of a large capital ship by some small time players to make it clear that they are becoming big targets. They will be easy targets in any peer dispute.
Venezuela is likely to be a tipping point for Trump. It is now a lose lose situation. alienating and driving the south into BRICS even if military action does not happen. Causing a further flight from the dollar.
If Trumps seeks a negotiation leaving Maduro in power it will now be a big hit to his credibility.
War will cause a flight from much of his base. No win likely.

  5. Think of the Bismark. The most powerful German battleship of World War II. Or the Yamato, the most powerful Japanese battleship.

They were not sunk directly. They were well protected, capable ships built to take a beating and return in kind.

They both had achillies heels. Their propellers and rudder. combat hips need to be able to maneuver. They are disabled in that respect, they are useless. Eventually they become underwater coral reefs for aqualife.

  6. MAGA wants the US to avoid foreign useless wars of regime change. You know, like trying to plant a western-type government into Afghanistan, and another one in Iraq.

We spend basically two decades here in the 21st century trying to do that. Trillions gone down the drain.

    So what does Trump do?

    Case closed.
