Hegseth Will Resign

Pete will be gone soon... Attacking two survivors clinging to a damaged boat is hard to defend. He will resign, rather than face impeachment. I believe that with the approaching midterms, enough Republicans would vote against him in an attempt to keep their seats.

Trump put together a grossly unqualified cabinet, valuing ring kissing over experience and/or expertise. While this has demeaned our military, there have been worse consequences for the American public. Our health policy is being steered by supposition, rather than medical science.

As I ponder these federal issues, my reading base pouts. They accuse me of TDS, then censorship, when I limit them to one bite of the criticism apple. At the end of the day, I don't want to feel compromised, like the brass testifying yesterday.

I'm not here to be polite or popular

  1. It's pretty clear, the barrage of anti-Trump bombs you've been throwing lately is happening without any prior factual research.

  2. Just think of all those apologies you will be handing out for Christmas when your ill-thought predictions prove to be "Fake News". Happy Holidays!

  3. Why would Hegseth resign? The whole story is based on a lie by the Washington Post, a lie that was so bad that it was refuted by The NY Times.

I realize that the news shows you watch are broadcast from Fantasyland, but you’re crossing the line into the delusional.

I can’t tell if you’re desperate for clicks or just more susceptible to scams as you age. In any event, don’t reply to any emails from Nigerian princes.

  5. The criticism of Trump on this blog is well deserved. Ironically, he loves and thrives off this kind of attention.

    1. No doubt Trump will remain undeterred by all the nonsense thrown his way. If you've followed him for any length of time, you'd know he's often stated "If you hit me, I hit you back twice as hard." I admire him for that strength and courage. Seems the Democrat/Socialists can't handle that attitude. Will they ever learn? Probably, no.

  6. Honestly Mike who cares what you think about any of this? Why should they? You have no expertise, just opinion, and opinions are like assho**s. everyone's got one. Write about something you actually can inform what's left of your readership. Otherwise what's the point

  7. anon@8:49: I tried looking up your address for the card, but I must have spelled anonymous incorrectly

anon@7:18: Even the brass testifying behind closed doors didn't say that it was lie.

anon@7:56: strange to hear an anonymous admire courage

anon@8:08: I wish Trump had chosen professionals for his cabinet

  8. Don’t let anyone question your courage, Mike. And remember that you are not alone. You have ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, PBS, NPR et al, not to mention the New York Times and the overwhelming majority of the print media on your side.
Stay the course, be of good cheer, millions of people and tens of billions of dollars are in your corner.

anon@8:45: I have been perplexed about why blogs almost exclusively only garner anonymous comments, with very few exceptions. After all these years, and viewing so many other blogs, I've come to accept that reality.

You’re wrong. The whole thing began when the Washington Post reported that Hegseth gave an order to “kill them all” after the initial strike. The NY Times (hardly a pro-Trump publication) quickly debunked that, and subsequent statements by “the brass” confirmed that Hegseth wasn't even in the room after the first strike.

I realize that it’s difficult to ferret out the truth when your “news” source is lying to you 24/7, but don’t you ever get tired of being duped?

  12. By the way, the best thing to come out of yesterday’s hearing was that the democrats had to admit that those in the boat were “bad guys” and were “carrying drugs”.

So the democrat narrative that Trump was somehow targeting innocent pleasure boaters was, well, blown out of the water.

    No second shot needed.

  13. anon@12:53: I don't read either the Washington Post or the NYT. This post predicts that Hegseth will resign. Both Trump and Hegseth are behind these boat attacks, which have been questioned and condemned both around the world and here in Congress. We'll see if my prediction happens or not. If impeachment proceedings are put in place against Hegseth, we'll see who votes which way.

  14. I suspect the necessary adjustments have been made. It’s unlikely a second round will be required in the future.
