As my readers know, I'm no fan of Trump, but I have no concerns about his past with Epstein. Years before Trump ran the first time, there were photos of him and Ivanka in the back seat of his limo. At the time, he said something like if she wasn't his daughter, he would want to date her. He was also filmed saying that because he's famous, he can grab woman. I assumed everyone knew that he was a womanizer, or younger, and that it was baked into the election.
The conventional thinking is that Trump wants to distract us from Epstein, but I find the curiosity about Epstein a distraction from the issues that really concern us as a nation. Trump, with questionable advisors at best, is using the military to bully the Western Hemisphere. He used tariffs as a roller coaster, which actually complicated domestic production.
Democrats distracted about Trump's sex life history, are inadvertently giving the Republicans a gift.
I'm not here to be polite or popular

As another large group of Epstein emails were released in the past few days, they have been gone over with a fine tooth comb. Absolutely NO EVIDENCE of sexual monkey business has been seen among the emails displayed. In fact, earlier sworn testimony by both Epstein's now jailed female assistant and the late Virginia Giuffre reveal Trump did nothing inappropriate. That was Trump's claim all through this disgusting Democrat-led effort to smear Trump.
ReplyDeleteThis story was yet another part of extreme dirty politics that has become prevalent in recent years. I certainly hope Trump decides to sue some of the creeps behind all of this. Name the scum in court for all to see.
Maybe the vaunted BBC can bring some light and truth to the situation.
DeleteLOL!
Then why is he literally begging republicans not to vote to release them? Face it, he has a thing for young women. Why do you all fight so hard to defend this abomination of a human being?
Delete@7:04
DeleteI don’t suppose that you recall Wild Bill Clinton, the Come Back Kid, let alone JFK. Maybe you recall hearing those names? Anyway I’m suddenly feeling nostalgic.
There is a disturbing aspect that the President of the United States has a relationship, distant or otherwise with a child molester that is disturbing.
ReplyDeleteEpstein was indeed a child molester, as the statutary rape of underage girls is molestation, I do not care how you want to dress up that fact.
I seriously doubt the public will ever know the extent of the association Epstein had with all of the wealthy and influential men either, Trump being one of them, or all the facts about the circumstances of Epstein's death.
Epestin will remain a shadowy figure in Trump's past, and given the limited time Trump will remain in office I seriously doubt anything but innuendo will take place. Any 'lists' will be like who killed Kennedy also. The suject of speculation for years with no real hard facts which will long be buried from the public also.
Wow Brent! The Dems float a new canard and you buy it hook, line and sinker. Again, hate clouds the mind and surely has affected yours. Trump knew everyone and anyone who was somebody, when he found our Epstein was, "a creep" he ended their relationship. It appears many people are willing to buy any smear the Dems peddle about Trump no matter how ridiculous they are, and how many times they have been proven false. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Clearly Trump haters fall to easily into the latter. One would think by now, otherwise intelligent people would notice a pattern here, and stop believing proven liars. By the way, it's been a long time since America expected character in their presidents. Bill banging barely of age interns in the Oval Office brought a yawn and a vigorous defence from the same people who are expect us to be outraged that our current president was in the same elite social circles as Epstein. Thing about it.
DeleteMike, if comments about Democrats smears annoy you, then wide do you post Democrat comments that are just smears, completely devoid of any argument?
DeleteThis is wall to wall on CNN, NBC and MSMBC today.
ReplyDeleteMOLOVINSKY on ALLENTOWN is right there with the best of American news.
anon@1:09: I'd like to think that readers understand that I consider the Epstein story a two party red herring.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Trump's hostility toward Venezuela isn't just a distraction from Epstein. I'm almost surprised Trump is embarrassed, given his track record with allegations of sexual abuse.
For his opponents and the Democrats, already there is something tiresome about the story.
Brent Moll, the trafficking of young women and the trafficking of children was only a part of the Epstein story. Consider his economic involvement with science research at M.I.T. and other prestigious and powerful institutions and the tax advice he provided for his wealthy and influential family. He was also there to provide cash assistance to “friends” in need like the woman until recently known as Princess Fergie, wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Winsor, the son of Queen Elizabeth II.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot more to this twisted conspiracy than just the hideous trafficking of young women and girls.
@4:42 I suppose "trafficking" is a better sounding term than child molester. Like "undocumented immigrant" is versus illegal ailen. People today like to use softer terms if they don't like the actual terms. And they like to diffuse the guilt amoung other crimes less horrific as well.
DeleteEpstein being a child molester is horrific enough that the President of the United States has any association with him.
anon@4:42: Future comments about Epstein activities will not appear on this blog. The premise of this post is that the Epstein story is a distraction. Alleged details about Epstein will have to be posted elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteLet's only disparage President Trump. After all, Epstein's dead so hating on him is like beating on a dead Democrat party, which is a synonym.
DeleteJust remember- Epstein didn't kill himself.
Deleteanon@4:44: I don't know the particulars, but I was disappointed that the BBC apologized to Trump about editing...I would think that is the prerogative of the press.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Anything should be allowed to be edited in any way to advance the media narrative. Makes me think of that classic few moments where the Allies had The Real Hitler doing the jig.
DeleteAnything that the prestigious BEEB can do to damage the new New Hitler is a minor deception that advances the narrative necessary to protect democracy on a global scale.
The prestigious BRITISH BROADCASTING COMPANY has a world view to promote, project and protect. If a wee bit of judicious editing advances the required narrative that’s a small price to pay.
DeleteYou’re “disappointed” that the BBC apologized? They edited segments of Trump’s speech (where some segments were over an hour apart), to make it seem like Trump told his supporters something that he did not say.
DeleteThat type of deceptive “editing” propelled a false narrative that you and those on the democrat side continue to believe to this day.
I’m disappointed that it took the BBC five years to admit the truth. How many other stories (whether about Trump or something else) were similarly edited to fit a false narrative and put out over the last five years?
If American “news” sources like CNN and MSNBC had ANY ethics, they’d be apologizing also. Unfortunately, it will take more lawsuits like the one that CBS lost to make that small drop of accountability happen.
After the complete debacle of the government shutdown it’s critically important to generate something to distract and fill the news cycle.
ReplyDeleteanon@5:27: In Trump's world, and seemingly yours, he had no cause and effect in regard to the following riot.... and the pardon of those convicted shows his outrage about the attack?
ReplyDeleteMost of those convicted walked into what they believed was an open Capitol building and went through without any violence or damage. There is even video of many being waved along inside the building by Capitol ushers.
DeleteThey were offered the alternative of pleading guilty to a crime they did not commit, or being held in prison for lengthy periods before trial. Those who tried to plead their innocence against the unlimited power of the federal government were given exorbitant sentences by partisan judges.
The false narrative pushed by the BBC and other media groups, at the behest of the democrat party was responsible for the persecution and prosecution of these individuals. Trump was right to pardon them.
Note: I am not talking about those who damaged property or physically assaulted members of law enforcement on that day. They deserved to be held accountable for their actions, but also deserved to be given the same penalties that others received on different occasions.
In addition, prior to the event the President had authorized the use of the National Guard if there were any problems, and despite her denials Nancy Pelosi is on video ADMITTING that she SHOULD have called them out.
It is appalling that you continue to cling to your false beliefs about that day, even when confronted with those involved admitting that they LIED to you. It seems the truth is sometimes a difficult thing for you to admit.
Any amount of manipulation of film footage that denigrates the character and diminishes the political career of the Dictator from Queens in okeedooky in my book.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a small price to pay to save democracy.
NO KINGS!
anon@5:58: He has finally conceded that he cannot run for a 3th term, but he seems increasingly obsessed with his legacy. Although he will build as many monuments to himself as we'll pay for, I suspect history will eventually catch up with the realities about him.
ReplyDeleteI suspect that the Molovinsky on Allentown & Trump blog will also descend into nothingness.
DeleteAnd that’s why the BBC film is important. While we, in the US, must endure Trump trying to re-write the history of January 6th the rest of the world see it for what it was and they understand that Trump indeed influenced the violence against the Capitol that day. I’m sorry that the BBC caved so easily. I’m not so sure our history will eventually catch up to the realities about him.
Delete8:08
DeleteTell us more about how the BBC editing process caper advanced accurate information that the people in the United States were previously denied.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thank you.
The Epstein story that focuses on under age or pedophilia is a distraction in itself. First I have seen no list, even with redacted names of girls or women, under 17 yrs old, all above the age of consent. Not condoning their use be Epstein, but realize powerful people, possibly men and women, do not want to have illicit sex with people of advance age for many reasons.
ReplyDeleteThese women all being paid and voluntary were a tool to be used to compromise those who were tempted. I suspect others may have other ways to be compromised, money, power or the hope of wide networking with powerful people.
I have little doubt that Epstein was financed and protected by both MI6 and Mossad to be used when opportunity would arise.
Is Trump hiding the details, because of the possibility of his own use of this information or fear of the consequences in revealing the truth? The Biden administration did not reveal it either.
On the Epstein files, if there is one thing we can be certain of, it’s that if there had been ANYTHING in them that was true or damaging to Trump, the Democrats would have released it under the Biden administration when they were in control of the files.
ReplyDeleteThat it is now being put forth by CNN, MSNBC and others is only to propel another phony, anti-Trump narrative from the democrats.
At the end of the day even if all these accusations were to be true, he will remain president and all the problems that need solving will still be there. Too much time and effort is being wasted.
ReplyDeleteLvic, lies amd smears are all the left has. Outside of dark blue urban areas, their issues and ideology are not popular with the majority of the American people. Smears as diversions have been their tactic since the Bush presidency two decades ago.
DeleteLVCI@7:28: That is the premise of this post. However, the ultra partisan R sycophants are very defensive, and many D's are on the offense. I'm much more concerned about the shortage of air traffic controllers, and the misuse of the military in the Caribbean.
ReplyDeletescott@8:59: comment about lies and smears from the "left" have run their course with me.
ReplyDeleteanon@9:58: future comments about protesters on Jan. 6th thinking that it was an "open" capital building will not appear.
Just don’t mention William Jefferson Clinton. MM has his limits and they should be respected.
ReplyDeleteanon@10:15: Again, I'm not concerned with presidential sexcapades, regardless by whom or which party. They are a distraction and off topic. Off topic comments may not appear.
ReplyDeleteScott@5:18PM: Scott if you go through all the comments, most are critical of the Democrats, and many by you. Some of the comments are utter nonsense, such as 9:58 AM that most of the protesters thought the capital was open to walk into.
ReplyDeleteI believe that your party will do better putting distance between themselves and Trump's administration, otherwise the midterms will be a disaster for the Republicans.
MM
ReplyDeleteYou post about Trump and Epstein and then you don’t want to take any comments about Trump and Epstein?
Certified true information provided might spoil the 'party.'
DeletePersonally, I'm sick and tired of it all. R or D or even independent, just different cheeks of the same ass spewing the same bullshit. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
