Seems as if freshman congressman Ryan Mackenzie wants a ribbon for voting along with all the other Republicans, save one, for opening the Epstein files. Although it's true he did say this summer that he would vote to open the file, he said so when there was no vote, and seemingly no chance of one. At that time, his mentor and chief, White House gold plater Donald Trump, was against the files going public. When the opportunity for real courage presented itself, he refused to sign the petition requesting a vote.
I'm frankly surprised that he would put out such a deceptive promotion at this point in time. He's crowing about something he was silent about when it counted. The promotion tells me that he counts on low information voters, and he seemingly is correct about that.
As I said before, I have no real issue with Mackenzie. Come midterms, he may still get my vote. In the meantime, when he says something needing scrutiny, I'll be here,
I'm not here to be polite or popular

Mackenzie doesn’t schedule the votes. He said he would vote to release the file, and did so.
ReplyDeleteThat he sent out a mailer is more a testament to the need to answer to another Democrat hoax than anything else. DEMOCRAT low information voters believe that Trump is hiding something, and have no idea that democrats had the files for FOUR YEARS before Trump took over.
And if you really want to talk about pandering to low-information voters, Senate democrat leader Chuck Schumer was making speeches saying he would force President Trump to release the Epstein files AFTER Trump urged republicans to vote to release the files and the House HAD ALREADY VOTED (almost unanimously) to do so.
Maybe tomorrow Schumer can claim that he’s fighting Trump to make sure the sun rises in the morning. Democrat allies in the media (and probably some local blogs) will run with that story (like they do with all the other anti-Trump hoaxes) to back up Schumer’s fake narrative.
Schumer wants the low information voters in his base to think he’s fighting for them, when in reality he’s just putting on performances in political theater.
anon@8:22: I didn't know that it was a mailer, I grabbed it from Facebook. He must be nervous already about midterms, if he's sending out piddle like that. His opponent will rightfully take him to task for that down the road.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I don't think Lehigh Valley voters are going to be distracted by your deflections about Chuck Schumer.
My assumption was that it was a mailer. Facebook makes more sense. I stand corrected on that.
DeleteAs to Schumer, it’s not a deflection. The fake narratives start with Schumer and all the democrats (save sometimes Fetterman) get in lockstep with whatever he and other democrat leaders put out. The media follows suit and amplifies it.
Again, low information voters in the Valley (and elsewhere in the country) might not realize that the hoaxes they’re falling for are coming from Schumer, but they are.
MM, do you think the congressman should be nonchalant about the next election in the current political landscape?
ReplyDeleteanon@9:08: I find the phrase fake. news tiresome, I suspect many others feel the same.
ReplyDeleteanon@9:26: I think the midterm will be very challenging for him, but false flags like the bulletin shown won't help. IMO, every week, every press conference, Trump hurts the Republicans more and more. Mackenzie is going to have to be willing to speak out. He doesn't have to worry about the primary, but the general.
Yesterday?
DeleteThe Saudis are investing somewhere in the neighborhood of one trillion dollars in the US economy.
MM @ 11:01: I’m sorry if you find the phrase tiresome, but I find the actual continued use of false, manufactured hoaxes to be what’s tiresome.
ReplyDeleteIn recent years I’ve gone through the Russia collusion hoax, the Charlottesville hoax, the kids in cages hoax, the border patrol whipping immigrants hoax, and now the Trump involvement with Epstein hoax, just to name a few.
Apparently you don’t care about being repeatedly lied to with the news sources you consume, but I prefer my news to be fact, not fiction.
anon@5:12: I won't bother to ask where you get your news, but hopefully it is more factual than your "anon".. I as posted previously, I don't care about Epstein, but Trump's history with women is less than stellar.
