A Lehigh County Commissioner is blaming his arrest on the man. The commissioner, Cole-Borghi, claims that the charges and disclosure of such are political, emphasizing that he is a black man. Worse for us county taxpayers, another commissioner, Jon Irons, seconds Borghi's contentions.
Last time I checked, two law enforcement entities were under the commissioner's purview, the Sheriff Department and the District Attorney's Office. While Borghi may be innocent of the drug charge, he is guilty of using politics and race as an excuse. Even the Lehigh County Democrats have distanced themselves from the contention that Borghi's race was a factor in his indictment.
If not for Borghi and Irons, I would probably not be making a County Executive recommendation. But, in light of how far off center the Commission has become, my vote will be going to Roger MacLean.

ReplyDeleteBut wait, that's not all!
Worse (worse?) yet, a third democrat county commissioner, April Riddick, "thirds" Borghi's contentions. She is quoted (per WFMZ) as saying: "Unfortunately, if you have any kind of melanin in your skin, that is what we have to fear."
Worse (worse, worse?) yet, Irons closed his statement by calling for continued work towards justice and change, writing that cannabis should be decriminalized in Pennsylvania and PRISONS SHOULD BE ABOLISHED [emphasis added] to redirect millions of dollars on public mental health services, addiction treatment and affordable housing.
Imagine how safe we'd all be if they abolished prisons! That's who's running the county and supporting Josh Siegel! And Siegel hasn't rebuked any of it.
MM, I'm with you. My vote will also be going to Roger MacLean!
I do believe we have reached the end of the viability of the race card. It now is viewed as the desperation of the guilty.
ReplyDeleteAnother case where race has replaced patriotism as the last refuge of the scoundrel. We don't need dividers in public office. Race card players are bad for politics and are worse when elected. Take the chip off your shoulder and get on with life. There are plenty of real issues to work on instead of making problems up.
ReplyDeleteJosh Seigel is a far left radical, I have watched him for years. There isn't a left wing idea he hasn't already embraced. Like Kamala Harris he is posing as a moderate in order to attract ill informed independents to cast their votes for him in November. He has a giant war chest funded almost entirely from out of state far left groups who aim to take over county governments. They understand the counties are in charge of the voting process and the vote counting. Along these lines, they know Josh will do everything he can to make their shared dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteKamala Harris has repeatedly demonstrated by her demeanor and her public statements that she lacks the intelligence required for political leadership at a national level. Seigel has demonstrated the clear traits of narcissistic personality disorder in public over time. Harris could change her positions over time as could Seigel. Harris would remain lacking in intelligence and Josh would continue to present as a classic example of a narcissist regardless of any shifts in their political views.
