Hope and Promise For Allentown

Hasshan Batts years ago augmented his social services salary by dealing drugs, now he deals Democrats... And it's much more lucrative.

Newly re-elected Congressman Susan Wild just delivered the goods for Batts, over $1.5mil!!!.  Batts is the new Hope and Promise for Allentown. We're putting our faith in his mentors, rather than our police department.

In this era of victims and sympathizers, Batts and Company Inc., offers one stop shoppers a place to feel good about themselves. Fortunately for Batts, Wild and Tuerk, in this valley local government delusions are only reported upon by a couple of bloggers.

Wild's gift is the fruit of the just passed federal budget of $1.7 Trillion!!! Add that to the Stimulus money, and we have a new generation of non-profit goldbrickers.

For those of you who came here today looking for the hope and promise, I apologize for the post's title. I further apologize for such reality bombs during the season of joy.

  1. It appears the corruption will not stop until there is no longer any money. That day will inevitably come but at what cost?

    1. The river of money is endless as long as taxes can be increased.

  2. If one hopes things will improve but fails to act on that hope, hope is just that and nothing more. Voters in Allentown hope things will improve but fail to act on this hope by electing people worthy of trust.

  3. Poverty Pays
Think about. The more the school district screws up the more state and federal monies flow into 2/3 of it's budget. Allentown (being the self created poverty magnet) lands those well connected almost 2 BILLION DOLLARS (guaranteed by the state) in the form of NIZ loans. Then there's almost a third of it's citizens getting rent, utility, medical and food subsidies. Even for profit businesses get various extra handouts (although government prefers to call them incentives).

Take away all the outside federal and state money and this city nor school district wouldn't last more then a month on it's own. We've become a major hub for government handouts. If there is anything we do well it's that.

  4. Doc Batts is a good man your blog is very mean spirited and patronizing to the community of returning citizens some of who seek to perform acts of restorative justice and lift others out of the cycle. What are you doing to make Allentown better Mr Molovinsky other than trying to demolish pillars of the BIPOC community?

    1. Sometimes the truth is the most powerful weapon against ignorance and corruption. That alone puts Mike heads and shoulders above the apologists for the self server's and self promotes that control Allentown.

    2. One of the basic facts of life is that one can only rise out of the cycle if the individual desires to rise out of it. Sometimes that takes a helping hand, such as helping with school expenses, or helping to pay for child support while the individual is obtaining the tools for success. Knowledge and skills to increase their value to society.

Dr Hasshan Batts is an example of that. Rising from being a drug-dealing felon to obtaining a doctorate. His example is a lesson to those who wish to do the same in their lives. His leadership as the Promise Neighborhoods Exective Director, however is a questionable example of failure and corruption, and more scam than charity. Using his past misdeeds to profit from them.

Follow the money, it nearly always leads to the truth...

    3. I would have more faith in self proclaimed saviours if they didn't demand high compensation for their efforts. As well, the good "doctor's" story is not so simple is it? I always suspect those who wear their hard luck stories and altruism on their sleeves.
