Lou Barletta For Governor

It is generally not my wont to make political endorsements. However, this year I'm compelled to make an exception. As an independent, I never have a party horse in the race. Because my endorsee is a Republican, and the Republican primary is so competitive, I need to speak up sooner than later.

Come this November, the Republican primary winner will face Josh Shapiro for governor. With such a very crowded Republican field, you need only 20 something percent of the vote to win. However, can that victor beat Shapiro? Shapiro has imposed no real solutions with the law and order chaos in his home-field of Philadelphia... to me that is completely unacceptable.

Of all the Republican candidates, I feel that Lou Barletta would be the strongest against Shapiro in November. With Pennsylvania having been on the wrong track for far too long, I endorse Lou Barletta for governor.

  1. 1 question: Does Lou believe that the election was stolen by the orange man? If so, you better support another candidate.

  2. I like both Dave White and Charlie Gerow, from what I have seen and heard both of these men will match up well against Shapiro. Dave White is a very impressive speaker, Charlie as well and both like Lou rock solid on the issues. There is a lot of talent running on the R side this year for almost every office. It's going to be a great year.

  3. Since Republicans took control of the Legislature in Harrisburg in 2010, the minimum wage in Pennsylvania hasn't changed. What have they done?

  4. Of course the minimum wage has changed. It just changed by the tried and true result of market forces not by some number dreamed up by politicians.

  5. "Pennsylvania having been on the wrong track for far too long" - Mike, the PA house & Senate have been controlled by republican lawmakers for over 12 years. They've had their chances to make changes yet have done nothing to help the citizens of PA! Time for a change in the house and senate!

  6. Anon 3:09 PM: Yes, the "training wage" mandated by the government hasn't changed. But as Ray has stated, the rate has been adjusted as determined by free markets.

Are you really having trouble finding a job that pays above the mandated federal rate?

With all the damage that democrat policies are doing to this country, is that really what you think we need to be focused on?

  7. Anon 8:42 - I assume that you support legalizing drugs because you're obviously using them.

The Republican legislature and senate are the only things stopping the democrats from instituting the same failed policies that have failed our major cities and are currently destroying our country at the federal level.

We don't need more of that - we need to repudiate it!

I can only hope the democrat radicals are defeated in November, and we have a Republican governor to help the PA legislature and senate move this state forward.

  8. @11:25 - There you go, no legislation and simply "block" anything and everything for the people of Pennsylvania! And yes, I like weed.
