Bill Whitewashing At The Morning Call

In his recent column, we learn that Bill White is worried that what he calls the MAGA candidates are going to win come November.  He goes on to clarify that these are the Trump people.  Now, I'm not a Trump person myself, but I sure hope that there are some wholesale changes in Harrisburg.

Bill claims that he was a long time critic against the Democratic corruption in Harrisburg, but that these MAGAs will really undermine our state's progress. Of course in this Valley of Incumbents Voted for Life, White never put a name to any of these Democrats. It's easy to complain about corruption in the state house when never naming a culprit.

While White claims that he wanted to see improvement in Harrisburg, he's still worried about any of the status quo being changed out. Over the years White has labeled me misguided and dour for actually naming bad people and programs.  There is a reason that the FBI spent two years investigating Allentown, and practically every contract signed at city hall. It took that long because there were no clues from Bill White or anybody else at the Morning Call.

  1. Bill White has been a misinformed fraud for quite a few years now. It’s very clear the only research he does comes from reading the propaganda pages of his own newspaper and watching a few mainstream media television shows.

Bill White is truly clueless about the sad conditions American families find themselves in under the junta now put into place in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. An incompetent, dangerous, ship of fools bringing down a once great nation.

Bill White enjoys selling garbage part time now. The Morning Call is a willing buyer of such junk. Hey, a few extra bucks on the side helps.

  3. anon@11:23, besides being saddened by the extreme left/right polarization in this country, I have no interest in that debate. However, I do resent White or anybody at the Call now referring to themselves as critical and/or investigative about local government. On the contrary, they have been nothing other than enablers.

  4. What’s happening in Canada today is extremely disturbing. I understand most Americans have no idea what’s going on, nor what this means about that nation, our immediate neighbor.

Surely, Bill White will write a piece about this soon. Should be a real doozy.

  5. Mike,I am painting a house in Allentown, the owners subscribe to the Morning Call. Every morning I bring the paper in from the porch and put it on the table. By the end of the week there is a stack of them, still in the plastic bag. I'm sure they separate the paper from the plastic bag before recycling both, that is the only interaction they have with the paper. Last week I had a call from the paper, in the old days it would have been a reporter wanting information, a quote, or insights for a story. This was was instead a survey, the first question was; have much do I rely on the Morning Call information? I answered not at all. That ended the survey.

  6. Scott@3:08, the last reporter to use me for scoops is now covering the White House for Reuters. Last year I gave the MC cub reporter the low down on Wehr's Dam... Instead she did a white-wash story. I fault Miorelli the editor.

  7. The reporter who covered the ASD repeatedly misquoted me. When I called her on it and asked for corrections she was incensed and accused me of attacking her. I gave her the ASD's solicitor's opinion, that I requested, that determined that it was illegal for the district to pay the salary of the AEA's full time union president. She never wrote a word on it. When the Fairness Center sued the ASD with your truly as plaintiff the Call finally covered it.we won.
