If America thinks that there is an immigration crisis, they haven't seen anything yet. At the press conference yesterday, Biden tutored Central America on how to gain entry to the United States...send your young children first. Biden said that he isn't going to allow
a young child to starve to death and stay on the other side (of the border). He also mentioned that Fort Bliss in Texas will provide 5,000 spaces to properly house children. Needless to say that both proclamations will increase the flow of children significantly.
The notion that he will discourage the flow of immigrants by improving conditions in Central America is ridiculous.
For someone whose past loose words helped created the current crisis, yesterday's performance was very disappointing.
Apparently United States will continue to have to wait for leadership on this human tragedy.

ReplyDeleteNever tried it so how do we know? We need a type of 2nd "Marshall Plan" that just might make their lives better so they will stay where they're at. Cost us a lot more now then it would to not have them come here in the first place.
LVCI, if he can't figure out how to feed them on the "other side of the bridge", how will he improve conditions enough in Central America to deter migration? Actually he did "try it" under Obama, obviously it didn't work.

ReplyDeleteAnyone who believes the Democrats open borders plan is altruistic is a fool and a sucker. The Democrats aren't opening the borders because they care about people! They are doing it because they care about power! As quickly as possible these people who enter will be one way or another enrolled as Democratic voters. This is simply a very callous plan to retain and expand power forever, anyone who believes otherwise doesn't understand the evil that motivates and controls todays Democratic Party.
And if folks stopped eating fruit and vegetables and beef and pork and chickens that are industry slaughtered and processed while refraining from living in gated communities with manicured lawns that required lawn service companies to service maybe some of these manual job magnets would disappear. Oh, I forgot, that would mean SOCIALISM!
ReplyDeleteAmerica is going to be the homeless shelter for the world. While improving conditions in central america would go along way to stopping the supply, it can only happen with a change to the political systems of those countries. I believe that the democrats fought strongly for socialist regimes in the region, this is just part of the result. Socialism ultimately produces poverty, 100 years of experimentation have proven that. Look at the science.
