Enough Is Enough

Lindsey Graham,  Republican from South Carolina, had planned on supporting the effort to challenge the Electoral College Certification on Wednesday. After the riot yesterday he changed his mind, saying enough is enough.

Scott Perry,  Pennsylvania congressman from the Harrisburg area, continued on with his plans to object.

Here locally, the Lehigh Valley Tea Party sponsored a bus going to Washington yesterday. Hopefully those aboard refrained from storming the Capitol Building.

Morning Call columnist Paul Muschick wrote that he may well change his registration from Republican to independent.  He also suggested that Pat Toomey's disassociation with Trump may have been easy, because he had announced that he was not seeking reelection.  There are plenty of Republicans, like Mitt Romney, who have been critical and are not retiring from political life.

The Trump diehards are hoping that their party turns to the right.  I'm hoping that instead the party decides to do the right thing.

ADDENDUM: I believe that Toomey's positions have been sincere, and not affected by any election  calculus.

Tom Carroll, leader of the local Tea Party, claims that Antifa, masquerading as Trump supporters,  initiated  storming the capital, and only then were followed by Trump supporters.  His explanation seems like an attempt to dilute responsibility.

  1. The idea of the objections was to form a commission to examine the process and ballots, again it is still nothing to see here, shut up and sit down. Much of this could have been avoided by allowing a transparent audit of the ballots and process, but there has been no such review. Why? So has this process of denying any irregularities, without a look, produced a more unified country or more divided more than ever?

  2. How many more damn looks would you like. 10, 100 how about a 1,000?

Let's use some common sense here. If fraud would have been committed the DOJ, 1,000's of election workers, 89 federal judges, and dozens of election leaders, 100's of lawyers for the states would have all had to be in on it.

    1. Just not the truth, no look was allowed, motions were all dismissed without any facts presented.

  3. Looks like Republicans finally learned how to have a "Mostly peaceful protest ". Love the media's selective indignation on this.

  5. Trump had many accomplishments - Middle East Peace, tariffs on China, 500 miles of border wall, corporate tax cut ( corps don't pay taxes - their customers do ), DJIA over 30,000, NATO paying it's fair share, ending foreign wars....

However he was an 'outsider.' It is a swamp, and that's why noting gets done except for the insiders who pat each other on the back, and take indirect bribes. A 5,000 page 'bill', for tons of foreign aid. When we are $30,000,000,000,000 ( 3 X 10^13) how can one justify borrowing more money to give to a foreign country?

I'm done with the Republicans. All we get is RINO's.

  6. How the fraud occurred: I watched the election commissions. What I saw was irregularities in the printed ballots. There was a currency expert who offered to inspect the ballots to determine if they were counterfeit, There was proof that over 1,000 dead people voted - in a sample of 10,000. Many addresses were to non-existent homes. It goes on and on.

Running the same ballots through a scanner - you will get the same results. The problem lies in the origin of the ballots.

  8. I and many others worked hard to get Pat Toomey into office, he has disappointed ever since. He is the epitome of the swamp,a man more concerned with his own appearance and related matters of decorum than actual accomplishments, truth and justice. He is the end was just part of the problem, another self server, wringing his hands nervously instead of boldly solving problems and working for the American people. Don't let the door hit ya Pat!And thanks for nothing.
