Payday In Allentown Arrest

SPECIAL EDITION

The victim who challenged an Allentown Police officer to a fistfight and was restrained and arrested, has already lawyered up. Attorney Goldman and his high power assistant, former local lawyer John Karoly, attended the council meeting last night. Don't be surprised if Allentown ends up forking over some of our tax dollars in a settlement.

Although molovinsky on allentown is short staffed today, this post will be updated later this afternoon.

  1. And he deserves a payday.

We should be making huge payouts to everyone abused by the police. And when the people start to complain about it we need to make sure they realise it's abuse of police power that has cost of so much. Then maybe even the right will call to reign in these abuses as they are costing us all more than they ever should have.

If we go back to holding police accountable rather than just paying for their indiscretions and letting them go back to it maybe we can fix things.

  2. Yes, I'd also like to see a handsome payday too - and many more....BIG ones!

Then when the public coffers are all shriveled up and Allentown is reduced to a municipal urchin, folks might wake up to the root cause of the problem.

  3. Elijah,

If I read you correctly, and that's not easy, you believe the police routinely abuse their power and the perp in this case was the cops. You believe this in spite of the evidence that he/the plaintiff interfered with an ongoing crime scene and challenged the police. All this in what we can all agree is a high crime, blighted, and dangerous area.

I believe your thinking is the greater threat to public safety and the abuse of power is that of ambulance chasing attorneys.
