Republican Halloween
They say all politics is local. I thought about that last night as I covered a City Republican Halloween Party. While the Republicans fare well in Lehigh County, David Bausch was the last one to win a seat on Allentown City Council, and that was back in 2003. This year, among a good slate of candidates, that Party has put up Eric Weiss for City Council. Weiss spend a career at City Hall, working his way up to head of Code Enforcement and Building Standards. In a city where one of the biggest problems comes from inter-city apartments, his experience should make him a hot ticket.

ReplyDeleteThink we know the guy in the suit with his back to the camera. Former city hall exec?
Why would we want to elect a Republican in Allentown? They caused all the problems.
ReplyDeleteAllentown Democrat Voter
Although a committed democrat I commend Molovinsky for pointing out how the republican party has declined over the years. If our city is to prosper we need two strong parties competing on ideas and policies.
ReplyDeleteanon 7:08, correct, current state rep. gary day
ReplyDeletedutchman, it doesn't bode well for check and balance
With all the Dummycrats doing such superfantasticwonderful things as providing multi-generational playgrounds to effectively combat Racism ...
ReplyDelete... not to mention the soon-to-be constructed Palace of Sport housing Chairman Pawlowski's pucksters ...
Who needs women dying on the floor, as former Speaker of the House NANCY PELOSI has pointed out, because evil and uncaring Rethuglicans block legislation that has wise and benevolent Big Government funding abortions?
Checks and Balances are completely overrated ... Complete seizure of power always works best but, in the absence of genuine courage, pulling the straight Dummycrat ticket at the polling place is good start towards Progress.
(Quick shout out to my friends at Occupy Allentown trying to collapse the system!)
