The second video (from Hickory, Pa.) appearing on the LVCI Blog, has chilling similarities to the environmental catastrophe noted in the Erin Brockovich movie.
MM, Excellent clip it relates well to what these folks are going through. I hadn't thought about that movie.. great catch!
It sure would be nice if there were another Erin-like person who has the moral character and conviction to stick up for Pennsylvania. Not many people left who posses her kind ethical convictions to stand up for what is genuinely the right thing to do. Oh there's a hell of lot who talk the talk, but I can't think of one right now running for office that will walk the walk (concerning the shale exploitation of these people).
I was going to say where's a Erin now? But I found her STILL HERE AT HER OWN WEBSITE. Apparently still fighting the good fight.
This whole thing wouldn't be a problem if more lawyers had her courage and her ethics. Instead these corporations descend on these small burgs who have few legal beagles, and what few there are, put them on retainer. Whether they ever call on them with actual real work is all together a different matter.
FYI: As I said before as soon as I post these vultures visit my blog. This last post was no exception. S**** Energy out of Houston, Texas made a visit within 1 1/2 hours of my last posting. With another 1/2 hour after that a legal "LLP" group.
