A Mackenzie Postcard

I don't relish repeatedly taking Ryan Mackenzie to task, because come mid-terms, I'm hoping that he is my candidate of choice.

His spokesman was quoted in the Morning Call on Sunday saying, "He (Mackenzie) has been an independent voice in a broken Washington, D.C., who has always and will always stand up for the Lehigh Valley.”  I'm a candidate for hearing aids, but if Mackenzie has been an independent voice or standing up in Washington, I may have issues with my other senses as well.

The Morning Call may have chosen to print this election postcard patter, but as a local blogger I must remind the congressman that Lower Macungie, with a Republican majority, voted for Democratic commissioners for the first time since forever. It won't be enough to say you stand up, but you must actually do it.

I'm not here to be polite or popular

  1. Before you came down with acute TDS you were going to bed about 7:30ish and posting around 4:00 AM. Loyalists remember this as a pattern going back many years.
I know that you were not up late watching the game.
Your entire rhythm is screwed up.
    We’re worried about you.

    1. He's likely tuned into MSDNC round the clock lapping up the koolaid from Comrade Madcow and Co.

  2. What % of eligible voters in LMT cast ballots?

  3. It is much too early for this Independent voter for Mackenzie to evaluate his total performance while in office. The man is still a little wet behind the ears, I say.

I try to give everyone elected to serve me a two-term grace period before casting them aside and seeking out a replacement for them.
You would look better following the same policy.

  4. anon@1:26,8:00,4:37 and again at 8:17: I appreciate your concern about me. I too hope that Mackenzie asserts himself, because party sycophants are losing fashion. BTW, after being in Harrisburg for over a decade, he shouldn't be so wet behind the ears.

  5. Mackenzie has been a Republican toady all through his political career. He continues to be so. He doesn’t represent people, he does what the speaker and Trump tell him. Ironically I doubt if Trump knows he’s alive.

    1. Don’t give up. Perhaps Mackenzie will start acting less a Republican to make you and the other children feel better.

    2. I much prefer Dem toadies. The extra portion of rank hypocrisy adds just that additional level of fun that I find irresistible.

    3. Mckenzie voted against his party on the proxy vote that forbid voting by proxy in congress. Mckenzie cited the need for New Parents to have the ability to vote by proxy.

  6. Never thought I would say this…thank the Good Lord for John Fetterman.

  7. 1:25 - I find it interesting that this blog continues to focus on wanting Mackenzie to be less like Trump, but not a peep about any of his declared opponents being more like Fetterman in bucking their party.

If he wasn’t so blinded by hate, perhaps the blog owner would see the irony.
