Steering Allentown's Titanic

I was told that Pawlowski mentioned the demolition of the two Parkway Dams and the repair of the WPA wall as an accomplishment of his administration, at yesterdays meeting on sustainability. The reality of course is that he depreciated the iconic park system, along with Allentown's reputation. The administration has been compared to the Titanic recently by a number of people. But, imagine boarding the Titanic in England, with the foreknowledge that it's going to sink. That's the tough position new hires face at City Hall. There has been some speculation that Pawlowski is a powerless lame duck. Unfortunately, that's not entirely true. He still has the power to hire and fire. City Council has decided to re-evaluate the tax collection contract that it readily previously approved, along with dozens of other yes votes.

Pawlowski will be indicted by the FBI at some point in the future. They could do Allentown a large favor, and expedite the charges.

  1. I think the FBI is waiting to see how many of these corrupt idiots turn themselves in and admit what they have done.

Corrupt Lehigh Valley politicians, developers, contractors and lawyers need to expedite their confessions and the FBI will expedite their charges.

FBI not targeting us, say Lehigh County commissioners

Looks like Commissioner Hartzell admitted his involvement with the corruption.

  3. it occurred to me that he may have attended the mayor's conference in DC last month, looking for some connection after he completes his ordeal.

  5. Hey, You stole my Titanic Parody! BTW, I don't think Hartzell did anything wrong, he just hired the one company doing campaign work. The wrongdoing does not come until you get in office and start demanding pay to play. Dan is not that kind of guy

  6. pawlowski is playing musical chairs on the deck of the Allentown titanic,as I remember in the movie , the band played on as it went down.i do not think the mayor understands that the u .s. justice dept. is no joke to shake off. they wage war on nations, drug cartels etc. we can only pray for him, for he knows not what he is in for.i have been involved in many hardships ,caused by me. someone smarter than me told me to stop and take the hit and move on.there are 7 billion people on earth, and the mayor thinks he is right and their way of morality is wrong, and his way is right.he went to moody inst. did he ever consider opening his bible and just read it.i hate to call anyone names, could he be just plain stupid.living in a stupor.when I spoke to him ,over the years , I noticed he would never ever look me in the eyes, when I would ask him to stop this nonsence and man up .being a military man , all I can do is pray for him , while he preys on his life to end up behind bars, god have mercy for he knows not what he does when it comes up to the mayou

  7. What is the deal with the tax collection contracts? What's your opinion?

  8. @11:16, two people have already pleaded guilty to having helped the mayor rig the bids, to give the contract to his personal choice, supposedly based on campaign contributions to his campaign. i never like these outside tax collectors in principle, because they make their money charging the taxpayers excessive fees and fines on any late payments.
