Humbug Christmas Continues
On Saturday I put up a rare weekend post titled Humbug Christmas, in which Alan Jennings was taken to task for handing out ten dollar bills. Because Bill White has a Christmas Lights special each year, and Bernie O'Hare is trying to emulate him with his Municipal Christmas Tree posts, allow me a second in the Humbug Christmas series. The alternative caption for the photo shown above would be, For Whom The Bell Tolls, which I believe someone has already used for a book title. In my version, Mayor Ed is ringing the bell at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall. He's hoping it's the bell of redemption.

Funny that the mayor is ringing the bell in Whitehall, and indoors, rather than outdoors in center city Allentown, with its throngs of holiday shoppers and restaurant patrons.
ReplyDelete9:11am is 100% right. Guess Ed doesn't want another situation where he's shaking down people in Allentown for money.

How come Ed isn't on the NIZ "Arts Walk" shopping district ?
ReplyDeletePerhaps he's afraid to be alone ?
It is really weird that he's at a MALL that is outside of his city. South Mall is in Allentown - why not go there? Or (as others have said) downtown? Very bizarre and very bad judgement.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how long he was actually working there, it may well have been just a photo opportunity. his facebook photos and activities seem very geared to repairing his image.
ReplyDeleteI'm BLOCKED from this Ed Pawlowski Facebook page. I agree that Pawlowski should be ringing the bell in Allentown, preferably downtown Allentown, where he is supposed to live.
ReplyDeleteI can't see what Mayor Ed Pawlowski posts on Facebook since he has personally blocked me from his Facebook page.
Where are the Facebook pages for the other elected officials in Allentown? Am I blocked from those also?
Pawlowski didn't show his face in City Hall for any of the 2016 budget meetings. He presented a PowerPoint and has not been seen since.
Has Pawlowski retired like the Finance Director Gary Strathern? Where's Pawlowski? How would I know if I'm blocked from his Facebook Page?
Tick-tock. Strathearn and Pawlowski leased our water/sewer system to the LCA. Did they steer that contract to the LCA?
Monkey Momma -
ReplyDeleteNot so sure any of the South Mall is in Allentown. If it is, it's a very small sliver (the eastern-most edge).
More than likely, it's all in Salisbury.
I hope the Salvation Army counted what was in the kettle before (and after) Ed's shift.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, they might show up on his next campaign report.

ReplyDeleteJust create a new identity and friend him ;)
Francis Doc is cooperating with the Feds out of their Philadelphia office.
ReplyDeleteHe wants to avoid jail at all costs.
LMAO
ReplyDeleteI really have nothing to offer that could add to this post. It's perfect!
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you remember how Ed Pawlowski used his religious beliefs for political purposes from the start. He started almost every stump speech with "I graduated from Moody Bible College". Living next to West Park I can hear him try to fire up church crowds with biblical quotes. This photo op is just more of the same. Imagine for a moment if a Republican tried the same, but as Ed is "D" he gets a pass.

Well at least they're sharing some of the revitalization wealth. Maybe next year i'll get $10 and feel better about this scam.
ReplyDeleteDid wfmz just happen apon this great revitalization holiday cheer. Next year it will be dried out Christmas trees to speed up the gentrification project. Bernie can take pictures of the trees on fire.
ReplyDeleteEd and Alan are both hypocrites of highest order.
