Law By Mob Rules In Baltimore

Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore's prosecutor, apparently has decided that her real future is in politics, not the law. On Friday, when announcing charges against the police officers, she told the protestors, "To the people of Baltimore and the demonstrators across America: I heard your call for `No justice, no peace.' In regard to the police, she went on to say that nobody is above the law. It appears however,  that the rioters who looted and torched the buildings, might be above the law in her town.  While she had the mob celebrating in the street, the message for the thugs of Baltimore and elsewhere is that rioting pays. Although the charges against some of the police may prove to be warranted,  their implementation was pure street theater,  not normal legal procedure.

ADDENDUM: Tension broke out again in Baltimore today, as police arrested a  gun carrying suspect.  Such problems will be the cost of that city's appeasement.

If I was the attorney for the six policemen, or one of them, I would immediately demand a change of venue.

It should be noted that the mayor of Baltimore is a member of the Democratic National Committee, and besides reaching her level of incompetence by telling the police department to let the mob destroy property and businesses, i'm sure wants to use this as a run up the political ladder as well.

These police officers are facing serious charges. They need to be tried in an environment that is fair, and can be just.

It can be held in Hagerstown or some other community not caught up in the mob violence of Baltimore, where this prosecutor wants to make this trial a stepping-stone for her political career.

Can't wait until people in The City Without (Spending?) Limits begin to riot (and burn down the magical Pawlowski Palace of Sport) because they want "Economic Justice".

I just love Obama's New America.

Can't for the life of me explain why you'd "approve" comment 8:45 for publication.

@9:20, i do not believe that the people of allentown will riot and/or burn down the arena. i also do not attribute riots to obama, they pre-date him by 50 years. if a comment is from someone repetitive, like 8:45, or someone with an ulterior motive like you, i may or may not publish it. i may or may not reply. you're correct that neither comment contributed to the dialogue.

What is most disturbing to me is the lack of awareness and logic of the people in Baltimore.

Baltimore has been run by Democrat rule since around 1948. The citizens don't seem to understand that their reality has been shaped by liberal politics.

65% of the people of Baltimore receive some sort of government entitlement. The out-of-wedlock birth rate is more than 72%.

I believe Joseph Stalin said "one death is a tragedy, a million deaths a statistic." There were 235 homicides in Baltimore in 2013!

Did these people of Baltimore receive such a poor education (in the government schools - @ $17,000 /yr ) that they can't think / reason? So what if the LEO's are charged? How does that make things right? What if they are not convicted - want to riot some more?

What over 60 years of Democrat policies have done is turn much of Baltimore into a crime / poverty / drug haven. There is no economy - the only economy is drugs and crime. Thus the constant police presence in trying to control the crime.

The Democrats have treated the blacks so badly, for so long, they don't know how to get out of that ghetto called Baltimore. After 60 years they have lost the vision.

What has come about is an continual 'excuse for failure', 'requests for more 'programs'', and a 'shake down industry' from the likes of Al Sharpton.

White Euro Americans don't want to offen - we ignore this blather and go along with our lives. Asian and East Indians are too busy making lives for themselves.

Sadly American Blacks in cites like Baltimore are being brainwashed into victim-hood.
