The Incredible Shrinking President

I believe that Obama was incredibly small about Netanyahu's speech. Although I understand that Obama would have preferred Netanyahu to stay home, once the speech was arranged, a bigger president would have invited the prime minister to visit the White House while in Washington. Instead, we saw accusations about a violation of the Logan Act, and statements about disrespect. For Netanyahu, this wasn't about lyrics to a Aretha Franklin Song, but survival for his country. For Joe Biden to hide, and congressmen to boycott, was just juvenile pouting. There were indeed many aspects to this situation, for both Netanyahu and Congress. But, at the very least, a well informed person offered to brief them on a major issue of our time.

  1. The remarks of some who objected to the speech given were not just juvenile, but ignorant.

The fear of differing opinions by this administration is stunning.

  2. The Obama Administration and the Democratic Party's response was as pathetic as it was predictable.

  3. Unfortunately, when it comes to Iran, Netanyahu's 'differing opinions have not been based upon fact.

  4. Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of Obama and his supporters.

"If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period" has already gone down in history as a Big Lie even Hitler, himself, would have been most proud of.

  5. Anon @ 9:50 Please do not demean the historic atrocity of Hitler and his disgusting Nazi Party movement with a national health insurance booster speech.
Nobody took the president seriously about retaining physicians..at least, I certainly did not. Who has died because of the national health insurance act? I dont see work camps, crematoria, ovens, gas chambers, or trains packed with human cargo.

  7. So, in other words, it is okay for the President of the United States to blatantly lie to the American people so long as 'nobody takes it seriously'?

    Okay.

But I still say that the Democrats obviously so desperate to cut any kind of deal with Iran in order to secure "Peace In Our Time" could learn a thing or two from Neville Chamberlain.

  8. No one took the president seriously when he said "you can keep your doctor"? Have you no shame to go to this length to defend the indefensible? Barack Obama has a long history of lies, too numerous to recount here but "video caused Benghazi attack" is another good exmple. The more common lie he uses is when he says "economist agree" or science has reached a consensus. What educated person person thinks economist agree? Who believes science is based consensus? Yet Democrat apologists will routinely and dutifully repeat these sorts of absurdities.
But thank you for proving that Democrat activists will go to any length to support even the unsupportable. Soon, with the administrations blessing Iran will have nuclear weapons, they have ballistic technology, so it won't only be Israel on the receiving end of their Armageddon dream, it will be us.

  9. Yes Mr. Armstrong, I didnt take the President seriously about the physicians..so what?

It is ridiculous to mention the health insurance act in the same atmosphere as an act comparable with one of Hitler's.

I have a lot of issues with the health insurance act- and no, I am not happy with it- it didnt go far enough as fare as I am concerned. it should have been a one-time large expansion of Medicare, which works well enough and while having faults of its own, at least the framework and system were up and ready.

Comparing any statement or action of our president to anything of Hitler's horrendous Third Reich is absurd.

  10. "Soon, with the administrations blessing Iran will have nuclear weapons, they have ballistic technology, so it wont only be Israel on the receiving end of their Armageddon dream, it will be us" That statement is as ridicules as the presidents and sounds like off the cuff remarks heard on fox news. Thats okay Scott, Your obvious politically induced miserable life better look to a higher power for relief for 2016 is getting closer and you wouldnt want to suffer for 8 more years.

  11. Yes Scott. Iran, who has not attacked another country in 300 years is going to take their one and only nuke and use it to attack the U.S. because they are all idiots who don't realize that the result would be total annihilation of their entire region. Thanks for the live demonstration of conservative ignorance and paranoia at its worst.

  12. 11:25 Typical that the president's defenders would dismiss the Obama lie(s) with the distraction of I claim I never made. Get some integrity into your argument.

  13. @6:02, actually, iran has never stopped fighting for the last 60 years. they of course directly fought with iraq, but more so through proxies, such as hezbollah against israel.
