Quite a Week

It's been quite a week. First a tiff with O'Hare escalated into my being banned in Boston. He now deletes my comments and has removed this blog from his sidebar blog link list. Then my blog was highjacked by the obsessive one. I will refrain from using his name, because I don't want to suffer his "prove it" routine. I find his harassment of the local blogosphere and people in it, criminal. I'm forced at this time to suspend commenting, and will most likely have to again begin moderation. I thank you for the visit, and please stop by again.

UPDATE: I have resumed accepting comments, regretfully with moderation. Thanks for your understanding.

  1. It is hard work being "The Tribune of the People." Stay with it. This is a great service to the Lehigh Valley and those interested in the Middle East. By the way, I was amazed to see thousands of the Egyptian protesters returning to Tahrir Square with brooms, garbage bags and disinfectant. Let's hope they, not the Muslim fundamentalists, prevail!

  2. Keep hoping.

Those playing the historical odds will keep preparing.

  3. If you think you've had a bad week, imagine how the victims of the gas explosion feel.

You know I enjoy your blog, and I am a fan of your work, but why no post on the gas explosion at 13th and Allen? I find your silence on the matter quite strange.

But as you say, the subsription price on your blog is right, and the reader can either read it or go elsewhere, so I know I'm in no position to dictate what the content of your posts should be.

For any readers looking to make donations to these disaster victims, the Call ran an article today that has some good information:

  4. monkey momma, i managed properties that bordered two previous fatal gas leaks, and am somewhat traumatized by the situation. i was glad to see the fire chief today acknowledge that leaking water pipes can undermine the gas pipes structural integrity, and how interrelated is the aging infrastructure. i had recently interacted on another blog urging residents in old allentown not to be so preoccupied with the appearance of gas meters, but more concerned with the safety of delivery. sorry the address you provided did not appear here as a link.
