Voters Needed

Although a mayoral year in Allentown, the turn out for Tuesday's election may be light. Are the voters dissatisfied with Pawlowski enough to come out and support Phillips? If their not motivated by the top of the ticket, will they come out for the bottom? In the local media, both main stream and the blogosphere, the drums have been beating, but is more than the choir listening? I took this photograph of Lou Hershman at one of his several press conferences. It's hard to imagine a more dedicated man offering his service to the city.

    That's Allentown's motto.

  4. I hope there is a protest vote against Ed Pawlowski that translates into votes for Tony. The better Tony does, the clearer the message to the Mayor that people know he's just the man behind the curtain and not the wizard he portrays himself to be.

  5. 11:49 - that's why I voted for Tony. And for Lou. (Funny, though, I voted ONLY for Lou for city council and while his name showed on my final ballot, the background was still red. as if it were a "Vote Not Cast". The election judge didn't seem to know why, or care. I hope that vote got counted ...)
